Dot Array Beam Splitters

Beamsplitters consists of an ultraviolet grade fused silica substrate with a vacuum deposited aluminum coating that has been delineated into a dot array.
The patterns seen here have standard 50/50 reflection-to-transmission ratios, however, any ratio can be achieved over a broad spectral range.
They demonstrate negligible sensitivity over a wide range of angles, and are useful for splitting light beams from divergent, broadband radiant sources.

The beam is split evenly by reflection from the aluminized
coating and transmitted through the non-aluminized
portion of the substrate.
These filters are useful with mercury arc, tungsten-halogen, deuterium and xenon lamps. Beamsplitters are used in monochromators, spectrophotometers, and other optical system applications.
